I am a Licensed Psychologist and a Licensed Specialized School Psychology. I have been in private practice since 2007. I use the philosophy of client-centered services. In assessment or in therapy , client’s needs and concerns should drive the process. For assessments, the purpose is to try, to the best of my ability to answer questions you have, and in therapy, the goals and techniques of therapy are determined by the client. Either way, I am a facilitator to help them learn what they want to know to better their life or circumstances.
I work with school aged children, teens, adults, and families. I enjoy doing therapy and parent coaching with individuals and families. I specialize in neuropsychological assessments working with a wide variety of adults and children in private practice and in schools.
I am is a native Austinite with two daughters who are recent college grads. I am so fortunate that my daughters live and work in Austin as well. I earned my Ph.D. in psychology at Texas A & M University in 2004. I pursued additional training (post-doctoral) in Virginia at Virginia Beach City Public Schools providing neuropsychological and therapy services in the school setting. I wanted to relocate back to Austin to be near family. I have worked for a local school district and TSBVI conducting neuropsychological evaluations, providing therapy, and working extensively with teens with behavioral and emotional challenges.
I offer a 15-minute phone consult at no charge to help you decide if you'd like to seek services. Together, we can make a plan to improve outcomes.
